At 7 weeks, the weaning process has progressed, and kittens are nursing less often.

At 8 weeks old, they nearly have a full set of teeth – boy, are they sharp! They are now fully weaned from Cleo's milk, but still try to nurse if she lets them.

At 10 weeks old, regular nail clipping and brushing will help them get into a good grooming routine.

3 weeks the kittens are steadier on their feet,  ranging a little further from Cleo, and starting to explore their surroundings. Though still pretty helpless, their sense of smell is maturing and so is their vision, they can find Cleo without completely relying on scent. Their teeth have started to come through. Also they are starting to use the litter tray.
 
At 4 weeks they are gaining weight rapidly and beginning to tussle with each other, very cute to watch. During this time, we must pay ...

Kittens at 2 weeks

Day 4 the kittens  have begun to develop their hearing and the remains of the umbilical cord have fallen off.
The kittens are now purring when content, hissing when they feel threatened, they also squeak when they are hungry.

Day 18 some of the kittens have started to test their wobbly legs. They have begun to crawl and to stand.  Some of them have their eyes open. The world will still be blurry to them, as it takes a few days for the vision to completely adjust.  Like many babies, kittens ar...

The kittens are blind and deaf. Their eyes are sealed shut and their ears are folded. A small stump of umbilical cord is still attached to their bellies. The are relying solely on their sense of smell to find Cleo so they can nurse.The newborn kitten are truly helpless and need Cleo to care for their every need. She licks the babies’ stomachs and bottoms to stimulate intestinal function, bladders, and bowels. They also needs her for wa...
