In the mean time Boo's kittens are thriving and unbelievably cute. We're always amazed at how much food they can go through at this age. They are all over the house as much as can be allowed. Yesterday they had their first health check with the vet and their first vaccination. We're pleased to report all was well and they were very brave.
All five gained weight since the last weigh-in. This is what we always like to see. Boo is her usual chilled out self, and doing an excellent job.

An update on Cleo's kittens. Last week Cleo decided 7 kittens were too many for her to look after and went on strike refusing to feed or look after her kittens. So after 24 hours of us feeding the kittens for her and keeping them clean and warm, we decided to see if Boo would take one. As Boo's kittens are 5 weeks older we picked the biggest of the litter and brought him down stairs. We rubbed him with Boo's blankets and slipped him in with her kittens, after some initial hissing she soo...

These fantastic kittens are advancing with leaps and bounds. They do not want to be outdone by each other and are already they are running amok in the nursery, playing and pouncing, investigating food bowls and learning to use a litter tray. Some aren’t quite ready to eat solid food yet but it will be any day now. More photos of the Bengal kittens are available here.
The little darlings are now 4 weeks old and they cannot be any sweeter. They are now trying to follow us around the nursery, calling and exploring the world. Soon they will start drinking water from the bowl and are already checking out the food bowl. It won’t be long before they are tearing into their mom’s food.
We hope you have enjoyed this photo update of our little darlings. All of these kittens are now reserved and held for their future homes. Thank you to all their new f...

Week 8
The kittens are now 12cm long. At this 8-week stage, the kittens are almost completely formed and look similar to a newborn kitten. Their coat is longer than before, but still short, and it has thickened, covering the entire surface of their bodies. This hair is now pigmented and the colours and markings (e.g. Snow or brown spotted) are quite obvious. She's gained another 150 grams. Last night Boo moved to her kittening bedroom ready for the big day.
Week 7
The kittens are now about 9cm long. Across the kitten's bodies, the hair follicles have all sprouted hairs. These hairs are short, fine and colourless (pale grey or white). The whisker hairs in the regions of the muzzle and eyebrows have grown and are now longer and thicker. These whiskers are very easy to spot now. The kittens have nasal pigmentation at this stage.
Week 6
The kittens are now about 7cm long. Hair follicles (whiskers) on the face have now fully developed and the first whiskers are now sprouting. The kitten's legs have grown longer. The foot pads and nails have become even more obvious. The claws are now bright white in colour due to the formation of keratin on the claws' surfaces. The ears and the tail are formed and the sex of the kittens is now obvious. The kittens also have open nostrils, but generally no nasal pigmentation.
Week 5.
The kittens are about 5cm long now. Their toes are widely spaced and fully separated and now contain the foot pads and nails. The eyelids have completely grown across the eyeballs and are fused shut. There is no hair yet on their bodies. Boo has gained about 200grams and has a very visible bump.
Well grown gentle and patient exhibit. He has an attractive inverted blaze of white covering his nose and whisker pads. Expressive bright green eyes. Strong white legs, White under body and an unusual white ‘collar’ around the neck. The back of the body coat is black as is Alfie’s long tail. Dense well groomed body coat, the black reall...

will
be F6 babies. They are due 17 January 2010
Akio & Arsenoe went to their new

At 8 weeks old, they nearly have a full set of teeth – boy, are they sharp! They are now fully weaned from Cleo's milk, but still try to nurse if she lets them.
At 10 weeks old, regular nail clipping and brushing will help them get into a good grooming routine.
3 weeks the kittens are steadier on their feet, ranging a little further from Cleo, and starting to explore their surroundings. Though still pretty helpless, their sense of smell is maturing and so is their vision, they can find Cleo without completely relying on scent. Their teeth have started to come through. Also they are starting to use the litter tray.
At 4 weeks they are gaining weight rapidly and beginning to tussle with each other, very cute to watch. During this time, we must pay ...
Day 4 the kittens have begun to develop their hearing and the remains of the umbilical cord have fallen off.

It's great to see such a contented group of kittens Cleo is doing a wonderful job of feeding them.
Some already have their eyes open and the rest will soon follow.

Akio & Arsenoe went to their new
home today with John, Jake & Ollie. Happy Christmas.
The kittens are now purring when content, hissing when they feel threatened, they also squeak when they are hungry.
The kittens are blind and deaf. Their eyes are sealed shut and their ears are folded. A small stump of umbilical cord is still attached to their bellies. The are relying solely on their sense of smell to find Cleo so they can nurse. The newborn kitten are truly helpless and need Cleo to care for their every need.
